Katie Holmes has a new short haircut. The new Broadway star is sporting a pixie mop haircut, which may be for her character in All My Sons. All My Sons is an Arthur Miller play and it will have preview performances on September 18.
Katie has been setting trends with her haircuts these days. While trendy, I am not sure short hair is the best look for her. She looks so beautiful, not to mention younger, with longer hair. The pixie mop gives eye framing long bangs and a narrowed neck. The haircut is similar to Rhianna’s but with less spunk and style. What are your thoughts on Katie’s pixie cut? Dayana Mendoza Nude Photo Scandal

Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza is no longer in danger of losing her crown for the nude photos that surfaced. The pictures, in which Dayana posed topless covering her breasts, were not naughty photos, but were for a modeling job she landed for a jewelry ad campaign. As much as the world would have liked them to be sexy scandalous pictures, there is no such luck.
The photo was for an ad campaign that Dayana posed for long before she was a contestant in Miss Universe. The President of the Miss Universe organization defended the picture saying,
“Dayana is not in jeopardy of losing the title. We embrace and respect her success as a model and the artistic beauty captured in these photographs. They are artistic in nature and don’t have an ounce of pornographic content to them.”
Dayana posed for the Italian jewelry company when she was just fifteen. Posing topless at fifteen is seen as taboo here in the states, and even classified as child porn. However in European countries nudity is not such a big deal.
Clearly, many are disappointed that the nude picture of Dayana Mendoza is nothing to make a big deal about. See the photo here to judge for yourself. Clay Aiken is a Father!
Season 2 American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken and his best friend Jaymes Foster, sister to music mogul and producer David Foster, welcomed a little boy into the world today.

The flamboyant singer’s mother confirmed the birth to WRAL radio. The little boy, named Parker Foster Aiken, weighs 6 pounds 2 ounces and is 19 inches long. Apparently, he has dark hair, according to Clay Aiken’s mother, Faye.
Rumors of Clay Aiken’s spawn began circulating a few months ago. The media dubbed the forthcoming child, “The Clayby.” Clay Aiken and Jaymes Foster plan to raise the child together, though they insist they are just loving friends.

Christina Aguilera Nude Photos Surface!
Early in her career Christina Aguilera had a close encounter with David LaChapelle and Pam Anderson. These nude pictures of her that were leaked are now the talk of her fans and creating an internet sensation.

The topless photos were taken for Interview Magazine which depicts David LaChapelle’s entire supporting cast including Pamela Anderson in a swimsuit. The leaked photos remind me of a Frank Zappa album, or more charitably the Sargent Pepper’s cover.

But really it is nothing new. She is the iconic celebrity who posed for pregnant nude photos for Marie Claire in January 2008. Not to mention that she was playfully photographed on a bed for GQ.
Earlier this year she said “If you’re too sexual, you’re slutty. If you’re not sexual enough, you’re a prude. I like to put it out there as a topic of conversation. Why does it bother you? What’s your problem with it? Am I really hurting you? Let’s get to the root of it. I have more than one side of me that likes to get out on a stage and sing. Sometimes I want to be aggressive, sometimes I want to feel empowered in my sexuality and my vulnerability. I want to put all that out there.”
The nice part is that Christina Aguilera did it tastefully whether early in her career when nobody knew her or later when she emerged as a mega star. I respect her more for these artistic naked photos.
David Thewlis Stars in “The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas”
English actor David Thewlis, who is dating adorable “Pushing Daisies” actress Anna Friel, stars in the film, The Boy In the Striped Pyjamas. A trailer for the film has just been released online, and you can find it here!

In The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, David Thewlis stars as a Nazi soldier who moves his family to a country home to be closer to his station. The movie, which is based on the bestselling book of the same name, is the heartwrenching potrayal of a young boy who forms a forbidden friendship with a Jewish boy who is imprisoned in the camp in his backyard. The book is beloved by many, and the trailer looks very promising.
David Thewlis Biography
Born in Blackpool, Lancashire, England in 1963, David Thewlis began his acting career with minor roles in tv and theater. It wasn’t until the 1993 film, Naked, in which he played a grubby, sardonic drifter, that he launched into the spotlight. Several well-known performances followed, including Dragonheart, James and the Giant Peach (as the Earthworm), and of course as beloved Professor Remus J. Lupin in the “Harry Potter” Series.
He previously dated Fairuza Balk after the pair met on the set of The Island of Dr. Moreau, which also co-starred Val Kilmer and the late Marlon Brando. David Thewlis found the movie experience so utterly appalling - he broke his leg during filming, and it was said that havoc occured daily - that he penned a book about the ongoing disasters during the course of the film. It has not yet been published, though he has published several novels and books of poetry.
David Thewlis is now exclusively tied to the beautiful, and spunky, actress Anna Friel, and the pair have a daughter together named Grace. In an article for London’s “The Daily Mail,” Thewlis describes how he loves Anna dearly, but simply won’t marry her.

Myrna Colley-Lee is Morgan Freeman’s Wife
Myrna Colley-Lee is a costume designer and wife of actor Morgan Freeman. The NY Daily News is reporting Freeman is divorcing Colley-Lee after 24 years of marriage. You can see her biography and photos below.

Morgan was recently in a car accident while accompanied by Demaris Meyer, who is supposedly a friend of Myrna’s. Freeman is still in a Memphis hospital. No word on whether this incident had any bearing on the pending divorce.
Freeman’s business partner, attorney Bill Luckett, told “Access Hollywood” that the “Dark Knight” star and his wife, Myrna Colley-Lee, “are involved in a divorce action.”
It has also been reported that the two have actually been separated ‘for legal and practical purposes’ since December 2007.

Myrna Colley-Lee was born in 1941 in Hamlett, North Carolina, which makes her age 67. Myrna attended college in North Carolina and went on to get her M.F.A from Temple University. She has gone on to do costume work on several plays and is currently working on Till, which will run at Brown University. Alongside theatre, Myrna has worked on several television and film projects. She is also very involved in supporting the arts, serving on such boards as Charleston Arts and Revitalization Effort, Inc. and the Rock River Foundation.
Myrna married Morgan Freeman in 1984 after dating for eight years. Freeman has allegedly had a reputation for “liking the ladies” but the couple was married for 24 years.
Their marriage was the second for both and they have one child together. Myrna also has a child from a previous marriage who Morgan adopted, and he has two other children. The couple have a 126-acre ranch near Charleston, Mississippi.

This little lady is really trying out all her options as she is also rumored to be dating 25-year-old financier Jay Barrymore. The daughter of Vogue Editor, Anna Wintour, recently uploaded some photos to her Facebook profile of Emma in a skimpy bikini, splashing around with Jay while on vacation in Ibiza. Roberto Agnillera and Emma Watson met at a Cartier Polo event last month. They have been spending a lot of time together ever since. Last night the couple was spotted leaving the Sway Bar in London. Roberto was very accommodating to Emma, as he carried her bags out of the bar.

Jonnetta Patton Is Usher’s Mother
R&B superstar Usher has rehired his mother, Jonnetta Patton, as his manager. Back in May of 2007, the two parted ways professionally, in what Usher described as a retirement and an “ultimate compliment.” See her biography, photos and video here.

Jonnetta Patton was rehired by her son Usher today after he ended his management arrangement with Benny Medina. Usher’s last album sales did not do as well as projected, which is said to be one of the reasons for asking his mother to come back as his manager. In a statement, Medina told People,
“With an artist like Usher, the bar is set really high. Whether it was management, marketing or the music, we achieved a number one single and a number one album. It is a completely new day and time in music now. In four years, his audience, demographic, and musical direction has changed. Records like Lil Wayne’s ‘Lollipop’ are the type of phenomena that ‘Yeah’ was in 2004. I had a great time and we parted ways amicably.”

Jonnetta Patton grew up in Chattanooga, TN. She has two children who are both musically gifted, Usher and J Lack. She is a church going woman, and it was in the church choir that she recognized her son’s gift. She left her secure job at Blue Cross/Blue Shield to move her son to Atlanta to pursue a career in the music industry.
A few years down the road and Jonnetta Patton had guided her son to great success. Usher has now won five Grammy’s and sold over 30 million records. Her other son J Lack is doing quite well too. He is a Grammy-nominated, ASCAP Award-winner producer.
Jonnetta Patton also started her own record label, JPat Records and has fresh talent signed already.

Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and Christine Beatty Sex Scandal
The mayor of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick, is under fire for allegedly lying under oath and for having an extramarital affair with his chief of staff, Christine Beatty. Now both could see 15 years in jail for perjury.

**Update 8/7/08 - Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was sent to jail Thursday after violating his bond by going on a trip to Canada last month for business without first notifying the authorities. Kilpatrick will have his own cell “because he’s a high-profile inmate”, according to a spokesman for the country sheriff. He will spend at least one night in jail.***
Kwame Kilpatrick and Christine Beatty testified in a 2007 civil case involving two cops who say they lost their jobs after investigating the mayor. Text messages between Kilpatrick and Beatty have now surfaced causing some to believe they lied in court and that the two were having an affair. The more than 14,000 text messages were exchanged almost daily discussing city business, political gossip and even ‘American Idol.’
“I’m madly in love with you,” Kilpatrick wrote on Oct. 3, 2002.
“I hope you feel that way for a long time,” Beatty answered. “In case you haven’t noticed, I am madly in love with you, too!”
Other texts contain sexual content, like this exchange on April 8, 2003:
Beatty: “And, did you miss me, sexually?”
Kilpatrick: “Hell yeah! You couldn’t tell. I want some more.”
“I’ve been dreaming all day about having you all to myself for 3 days,” the mayor wrote on Oct. 16, 2002. “Relaxing, laughing, talking, sleeping and making love.”
The mayor has issued a statement asking everyone to respect his privacy. A privacy that has reportedly cost the taxpayers of Detroit close to 9 million dollars. Hope it was worth it Mr. Mayor.
